For use to test energized circuits and defective grounds, making this non-contact voltage tester ideal for electricians on the factory floor or the do-it-yourselfers around the house. Additionally, it features a pocket-sized design, is easy to use, and comes in a pack of five.
The Fluke 2AC/90-1000V VoltAlert Voltage Detector is a pen-style, pocket-sized non-contact voltage detector that tests for energized circuits and defective grounds by sensing the steady state electrostatic ?eld produced by AC voltage through insulation. If voltage is present, the tip glows red and the detector optionally beeps. This instrument detects 90 to 1000VAC, has a Category IV 1000V rating, and meets International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 61010-1:2001, Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 61010-1 (2nd ed.), Canadian Standards Association (CSA) CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 61010-1-04, and ISA-82.02.01 Pollution Degree 2. It runs on two AAA batteries (included). Applications include testing a terminal strip, outlet, or supply cord. The straight tip is designed for North American style outlets.
