The Fluke 116 HVAC Multimeter features temperature and microamps measurements useful for heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVAC/R) technicians. The Fluke 116 is a compact true-rms meter and has everything needed in an HVAC meter including temperature and microamp measurements to quickly troubleshoot problems with HVAC equipment and flame sensors.
The Fluke 116 also, has dual impedance capability: incorporating both regular high impedance test capabilities and low impedance functions for detecting ghost voltages, just switch to the Auto-V/LoZ (low impedance) test setting to whether measurement is a ghost voltage.
  • Auto-V stands for automatic volts. This feature automatically determines whether the measured signal is ac voltage or dc voltage, selects the correct function and range, and displays the correct information.
  • LoZ stands for Low Impedance (Z). This feature presents a low impedance input to the circuit under test. This reduces the possibility of false readings due to ghost voltages and improves accuracy when testing to determine absence or presence of voltage.

Small in size, extremely accurate and very easy to use. IP54 rated for dust and water resistance. Precise yet rugged enough to take a 3-meter drop. In fact, the 62 MAX and 62 MAX + are so tough, they're the only IR thermometers around you can handle without care.
If you've ever used an infrared thermometer, then you may have been fooled regarding the temperature reading. That's because IR thermometers project a measurement cone at a surface and take the average temperature of the cone at the target. Although most IR thermometers have a laser pointer, a laser is a line, not a cone, and you may think that you're getting temperature at the laser point only. Fluke's 62 Max+ uses two rotating laser pointers that show you the size of the measurement area. It covers the temperature range from -30°C to 650°C with a response time less than 300 ms. The Model 62 Max uses a single laser pointer and covers the temperature range from -30°C to 500°C.
The Max 62 and Max 62+ are designed to withstand drops up to 3 m. Is screen is located in a position and with a viewing angle (15°) that, in many cases, lets you see the display without having to move the thermometer from the measuring point. For most measurements, you simply pull the trigger once you've identified the measurement point.

But how can you easily determine if an electrical panel has a hot spot, a motor is overheating or an HVAC system is inefficient? The answer is with an infrared (IR) thermometer.
